For more than 30 years, WNFM has fostered timely information on nuclear fuel trends and helped its members shape effective nuclear fuel strategies.
WNFM members include companies in various aspects of the fuel cycle, including fuel suppliers and producers; nuclear fuel buyers, traders and brokers; investment firms; insurance/risk management entities; transporters; government policymakers; and consultants/analysts.
Participation in WNFM includes the opportunity to participate in the WNFM Annual Meeting, where members engage in various sessions that provide a look at issues based on a common theme. The WNFM Annual Meeting is a chance to:
• Meet others facing similar issues
• Challenge common wisdom
• Engage in positive debate
• Gain valuable insight to improve business decisions
WNFM organizes and hosts a well-attended annual meeting that provides a forum for the discussion of issues of interest to its members. The Board of Governors spends a considerable amount of time and effort planning and refining the annual meeting theme, and Board Members are personally involved in scheduling the annual meeting speakers as well as chairing the individual meeting sessions. This personal ownership approach assures a meeting that addresses industry issues that nuclear fuel cycle participants want and need to hear.
Recent annual meeting themes have included:
• Navigating to the New World - What Is Over the Horizon?
• Fueling a Brighter Future - Are We Keeping Pace?
• Back to the Future: Are We Getting It Right This Time?
• Investment and Inventory - What’s In?
• The Nuclear Rush - What’s Left When the Dust Settles?
A separate business and informational session allows members to elect new Board members and discuss topics of organizational importance. A strong differentiator of WNFM annual meetings is their intimacy. The meeting is an informal one and encourages interaction, both within the group discussions as well as informally, outside the meeting.
